The Bottom Line

My eyes rebel when I am hand-sewing black binding to black backing with black thread. To remedy this, when machine-sewing the binding to the front of the quilt, I use dark red or dark aqua thread in the bobbin. Then when I turn over the binding and hand-stitch it to the backing, I can easily see the sewn line.
