Stitched Gift

I use leftover fabric strips to create bookmarks that I give as gifts. I layer two pieces with wrong sides together and zigzag-stitch ¼" from the edges. I let the raw edges fray for interest. The bookmarks can be dressed up with leftover ribbon, decorative stitches, and embroidery.
