Quilt It Later

When I finish a quilt top that I won't have time to machine-quilt for a few months (or longer), I spray-baste the quilt sandwich layers together, iron them smooth, and machine-baste 1/8" from the edges. This securely holds the layers together until I'm ready to work on the project again.
