On the Safe Side

When quilting a long stretch, it's inconvenient to run out of bobbin thread. To prevent this, I wind two bobbins—one for the bobbin case and one for the spool pin. By watching the bobbin on the spool pin, I can anticipate when the bottom bobbin will run out and I don't sew without thread.
