Make a Record

When I start a new project, I fill in a form I created to manage my quilt inventory and projects. It includes project name, size, purpose, pattern source, colors, quilting information, and dates started and finished. I keep the forms in plastic page protectors in three-ring binders, filing by start date. The page protectors allow me to slip in photos, notes, fabric swatches, and anything else related to the project. My inventory now encompasses 20 years' worth of projects and provides a wonderful history.
