Let It Rip

I have found that a serrated tracing wheel works well to pre-score the lines of paper-piecing patterns so the paper easily rips off the fabric after being sewn. It works best to place a piece of foam below the paper patterns so the wheel nubs can penetrate the paper without difficulty yet not damage your work surface.
