Ideas Everywhere

During a stay in Lake Wales, Florida, I was inspired by a ceramic tile floor to make a quilt pattern. I took photos of the floor and used them to re-create on grid paper the pattern for a queen-size quilt. It then took me two years to hand-sew the 2-inch finished squares and complete the project. Next time you're on vacation, look around you for ideas to make your own lasting quilt souvenirs!
