Hidden Scraps

For each quilt I make, I baste together small pieces of the background and binding fabrics, then tack them under the quilt label. This way if I need to make a noticeable repair, I'll have fabric pieces that have been washed as many times as the quilt. It's saved my bacon a few times as my quilts are definitely used.
