Come Out on Top

When I sew one strip of fabric to pieced sections such as when I add sashing to a block row or a border to a quilt center, I place the pieced fabric on the top. This allows me to make sure the seams are stitched in the correct direction and that I can "fudge" as necessary to catch those perfect points.
