Beginning to End

I cut my stash of light, medium, and dark fabrics into squares or triangles of various sizes. Whenever I'm starting or ending a seam on a quilt, instead of sewing off onto a single fabric scrap, I sew two triangles or squares together. I put the pieced unit in a scrap box on my sewing table. Before long, I have enough pieced squares and triangles to make a scrappy quilt.
