Easy Asian Print Throw

Materials
- 3/4 yard blue-and-brown floral (rectangles)
- 3/4 yard blue-and-tan floral (rectangles)
- 3/4 yard multicolor floral (rectangles)
- 1-1/4 yards blue floral (rectangles)
- 3-3/4 yards brown-and-tan floral (sashing, border, binding)
- 4-7/8 yards backing fabric
- 71x87" batting
Finished quilt: 64-1/2x80-1/2"
Quantities are for 44/45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics. Measurements include 1/4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
Cut Fabrics
Cut pieces in the following order. Referring to the photo, fussy-cut blue-and-brown floral lengthwise (parallel to the selvages) to isolate desired floral motifs. Cut border strips lengthwise.
From blue-and-brown floral, fussy-cut:
- 3--8-1/2x20-1/2" rectangles
From blue-and-tan floral, cut:
- 3--8-1/2x20-1/2" rectangles
From multicolor floral, cut:
- 3--8-1/2x20-1/2" rectangles
From blue floral, cut
- 8--8-1/2x20-1/2" rectangles
From brown-and-tan floral, cut
- 4--8-1/2x64-1/2" border strips
- 8--2-1/2x42" binding strips
- 8--2-1/2x20-1/2" sashing strips
- 6--2-1/2x12-1/2" sashing strips
- 8--2-1/2x9-1/2" sashing strips
- 6--2-1/2x8-1/2" sashing strips
Assemble Quilt Center
1. Referring to Quilt Assembly Diagram, lay out assorted rectangles and brown-and-tan floral sashing strips in rows.
2. Sew together pieces in each row. Press seams in one direction. Join rows; press seams in one direction.
3. Trim top and bottom edges even to make quilt center (Quilt Assembly Diagram). The quilt center should be 48-1/2x64-1/2" including seam allowances.
Add Border
1. Sew brown-and-tan floral border strips to long edges of quilt center.
2. Add remaining brown-and-tan floral border strips to remaining edges to complete quilt top. Press all seams toward border.
Finish Quilt
1. Layer quilt top, batting and backing; baste.
2. Quilt as desired.
3. Bind with brown-and-tan floral binding strips.
