Stars on Display Optional Blocks

Block 1: Reminiscent of a lily block pattern, this Bear's Paw variation deliberately places gray batik pieces to make the lily shape dominant. A cream shirting subtly creates a secondary star block center amid gray print squares.

Block 2: This Diamond-in-a-Square block variation exudes a transparency or depth because of the light and dark fabric choices positioned carefully in the Square-in-a-Square center and hourglass units.

Block 3: Unlike blocks 1 and 2, this Pinwheel Star block uses a Four-Patch unit in each corner to continue the "chain" found in the original quilt. The simpler star design has only four points.
