Colored Pencils
Suppose Quilt Boutique owners Kathy Thomas and Jo Thomas designed Colored Pencils for Quilt Sampler® Spring/Summer 2012 magazine. Basic writing implements inspired a graphic quilt constructed with paper-piecing and a plethora of fabric strips.

Machine-Quilting Details
Designer Jo Thomas machine-outline-quilted 1/4" inside the pencil point and eraser units. Using threads that match block colors, she stitched a different design-swirls, loops, scallops, and geometrics-in each assorted print pencil.
