The Rabbit's Lair

The Rabbit's Lair occupies a charming old building in the historic commercial district of Rogers, Arkansas.

Mahogany counters and shelves provide ample display space at The Rabbit's Lair, where bolts and bundles meld with the original pharmacy fixtures.

Drawers that once housed pharmaceutical goods now hold threads and fibers.

In addition to quilting supplies, The Rabbit's Lair carries finished projects, such as wool pincushions from Buttermilk Basin that feature seasonal motifs.

An assortment of wool and wool samples find a home in the former compounding room.

Bolts of quilting cottons serve as a backdrop for sweet samples at The Rabbit's Lair.

Staff member Candy Hargrove designed Butterscotch Road, an Arkansas Traveler block quilt, for Quilt Sampler® Spring/Summer 2013 magazine. The Rabbit's Lair offers kits for the quilt in throw, twin, queen, and king sizes.

Karen Kielmeyer machine-quilted a pattern of curved flower, leaf, and swirl motifs in each block and a continuous heart in the sashing strips. In the border, she outlined the appliqués, added similar motifs as in the blocks, and quilted a Baptist Fan pattern in the backgroud.
