Machine-Quilting Details

Machine-Quilting Details

Terry Tamaki machine-quilted a set of curved lines in each A, B, and C unit, creating an umbrella design in matching unit pairs. She stitched a flower design in the print center of each D unit pair and each multicolor umbrella print rectangles. Terry filled the solid white areas of the inner and outer borders and D units with a meandering leaf-and-vines pattern and stitched parallel lines in he middle border solid white rectangles.

Happy-Go-Lucky Color Option

Happy-Go-Lucky Color Option

Bright dots, stripes, and prints add whimsy to quilt tester Laura Boehnke's version of Happy-Go-Lucky. Laura eliminated the pieced middle border and reduced the number of blocks for a quick-to-sew wall quilt. Fabrics are from the Contempo Dots collection from Kensington Studio for Quilting Treasures.
