Bobbie wanted the exterior of her shop to look like a barn, in keeping with the ambience of the surrounding Yamhill, Oregon, area that boasts breathtaking views of farmland, grape arbors, and rolling countryside.

Far and Wide
High ceilings and plenty of windows translate into ample room to hang quilts and great natural light in which to choose fabrics. "I'd describe our look as scrappy and traditional," Bobbie says. "I don't go for trendy. I have a few novelty prints, but there's such a broad spectrum out there, where do you stop?"

Show with Samples
Samples help customers visualize fabrics in quilts. Batiks are the focus of this showcase that includes the Bali Sky wall hanging by Calico Carriage Quilt Designs and Hip to Be Square throw by designer Sandy Brawner.

Fall, one of Bobbie's favorite seasons, is featured in this shops vignette using warm, brilliant earth tones. An assortment of fall fabrics mingles with tempting small projects beneath Hash Browns by Cozy Strip Club.
