Historic District

Historic District

Pine Needles is located in historic Gardner Village, a retail district built around an 1877 flour mill in West Jordan, Utah, a Salt Lake City suburb. Although the area has a storied past, owner Sandra Workman makes sure the inventory doesn't by continually evolving the fabric lines and displays.

A Little Bit of Boo Color Option

A Little Bit of Boo Color Option

Quilt tester Laura Boehnke used half as many blocks as the original to make a smaller version of A Little Bit of Boo. Instead of adding hand embroidery, she fussy-cut and framed printed chicks from the Fresh Off the Farm collection by Kelly Mueller for Red Rooster Fabrics. To add extra embellishment, Laura used a printed panel as one of the border strips.

Contact Pine Needles to purchase a copy of the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Quilt Sampler magazine. Issues are also available at your local quilt shop, on newsstands, and online.
