Perennial Favorite Machine-Quilting Detail
Machine quilter: Lisa La Pointe
Lisa La Pointe machine-quilted a four-petal flower in each corner of the A and B block center squares, with the inner petals of each flower meeting at the block center. She quilted 1⁄4" from the inner and outer edges of the multicolor pastel stripe strips, extending the stitching into the green polka dot large triangles of the C blocks. A square was quilted in each dark pink polka dot square created by the intersecting blocks, and then five circles were quilted within each square. Lisa echo-quilted 90° angles that radiate from the squares into the C blocks, spacing the lines about 3⁄4" apart. She stitched in the ditch of the inner border and quilted diagonal lines in the middle border. She quilted the outer border with a swag design, filling the space inside the swags with a loopy design and the space outside the swags with double rows of parallel lines.
