Wild West
Cody sits near the eastern entrance to Yellowstone National Park so Friends and Co. Quilt Shop serves a steady stream of tourists. There is a high demand for moose, bear, and elk fabrics, and fabrics with western and wilderness themes are the two best-sellers.

Machine-Quilting Details
Jeanne Knudsen machine-quilted flowing ripple designs in the light blue batik background of Out on the Range. She stitched stipples and pebble shapes in the hat, added grain lines along the fence post, and simulated real boot details by quilting stipples and flame designs on the boots.

Out on the Range Color Option
Out on the Range takes on an entirely new look when quirky novelty prints from the Coffee Shop collection and Fabrications precut 2-1/2"-wide strips in Brights, both from Blank Quilting, replace the appliquéd scene. The spacious center is the perfect spot for a large print, such as the featured coffee-cup print, or a preprinted panel.
