Terry Atkinson's Round Robin Quilt
Meet Terry Atkinson
Terry Atkinson of Atkinson Designs was one of four designers that participated in the No-Rules Round Robin.
At the "big reveal" gathering in the American Patchwork & Quilting Crafts Lab, the original designer of the quilt was blindfolded to heighten the surprise element of her first look at the finished piece.
Once the blindfold came off, the excitement of seeing it after six months was impossible to hide.
Terry's Close Look
Checking out the details and textures added to her quilt, Terry couldn't help herself from having a closer look and touch!

Round 1: Terry
Terry envisioned a simple, strong, graphic center: red appliqués forming interlocking circles on a white background.
Round 2: Gudrun
Gudrun provided a perfect foil to the curves, incorporating tumbling squares and a softer palette of blues and grays.
Round 3: Kari
Kari added appliquéd borders to the top and bottom edges and skinnier borders to the sides, making the quilt rectangular. She added texture with yo-yo flower centers and rickrack vines.
Round 4: Terri
Terri topped it off with a pieced curvy outer border and took a risk that paid off-adding appliquéd turquoise diamonds to the quilt center.
Terry's Finished Quilt
Far from the simple fire red rings on a white background Terry first sent off, her finished quilt called Kaleidoscope illustrates the beauty that can result from the pooled talents of four friends.
