Pekinese Stitch and Eyelet Wheel
Using turquoise perle cotton No. 5, Sue used a Pekinese stitch around the outside of the circle and an eyelet wheel inside the circle.

Fly Stitch and Bullion Knot
Using variegated fuchsia perle cotton No. 8, Sue stitched a fly stitch around the outside of the circle. In each V of the fly stitch, Sue used pink perle cotton No. 8 to work a small bullion knot.

Sue used blue silk thread No. 8 to work bullion knots around the outside of the circle and in the center.

Chain Stitch and French Knots
Using fuchsia perle cotton No. 3, Sue chain-stitched around the outside of the circle and sewed French knots in the inside.

Threaded Running Stitch and Bullion Knots
Using teal silk thread No. 8, Sue stitched the outer edge of the circle with a threaded running stitch. She used the same thread to make loop bullion knots.

Beaded Whipped Chain Stitch
Sue used lavender perle cotton No. 8 and blue size 6 seed beads to work a beaded whipped chain stitch around the edge of the circle.

Whipped Woven Circle
Using turquoise perle cotton No. 5, Sue stitched a whipped woven circle inside the goat's eye. She backstitched around the eye with gold perle cotton No. 3.

Thorn Stitch
Using brown perle cotton No. 3, Sue backstitched around the brown part of the goat's ear and used a thorn stitch to add detail.

Long Drizzle Stitch
On the goat's horns, Sue used gold perle cotton No. 3 and a No. 1 long darner needle to make a drizzle stitch with 80 cast-ons. After making the drizzle stitch, she couched it along the horn.

On the goat's chin, Sue used gold perle cotton No. 8 to make drizzle stitches with 15 cast-ons.
