More of Your Tips

Easy Organization
To keep my fat quarters organized and easy to access, I stack them in large magazine holders. I fold the fabric quarters down to 5-1/2 x 9" so they fit nicely into the holders, and place the holders on their backs on the shelves in my sewing room. When I need a particular color, I just pull the holder off the shelf and browse through my collection. These holders are inexpensive and available in the office supply section of most discount stores. A 6-1/2x9-1/2x12-1/8" holder will hold more than 70 fat quarters.

Quick Templates
Manila folders make long-lasting templates. I use freezer paper to create the original template, press the freezer-paper template onto
an old manila folder, and cut out the manila folder template using sharp paper scissors. The folder is easy to cut and keeps its crisp edges through many uses.
