No-Slip Solution
To reduce slippage and error when rotary-cutting, I glue circles of medium-weight sandpaper to my acrylic ruler where they do not obscure important reference points. I use an extra-large hole punch I bought at a crafts store to punch the circles out of sandpaper scraps.

In The Bag
When I wash new fabric, I put it in a mesh laundry bag to greatly reduce the amount of raveling. A small bag will hold about 2-1/2 yards comfortably, and the larger ones will hold around 4 yards.
