A novelty Italian map print is the focal point of this bright wall hanging. Latticework blocks in the middle border mimic the look of crisscrossing streets. Fabrics are from the Va Bene! collection from Dear Stella.

1 yard solid white (middle border blocks)
3⁄8 yard tan stripe (middle border blocks)
3⁄8 yard tan print (middle border blocks)
8—9x21" pieces (fat eighths) assorted prints and solids in gray, yellow, blue, orange, and red (middle border blocks)
7⁄8 yard multicolor stripe (inner border, binding)
1⁄2 yard novelty map print (quilt center)
1-1⁄2 yards red dot (outer border)
3-1⁄2 yards backing fabric
62" square batting

Finished: 53-1⁄2" square
Finished block: 8" square

Yardages and cutting instructions are based on 42" of usable fabric width.
Measurements include 1⁄4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
