On-Point Table Runner

A bevy of black-and-white prints adds a touch of sass to an easy table topper. Start each block with an 8-1/2" square fussy-cut from a panel print and add two 4-1/2"-wide strips to finish. Add more playful prints from Word Play by Michele D'Amore for Benartex for the setting triangles, border, and binding.

Add Border

1. Sew together two black tone-on-tone 2-1/2x26" strips to make a long border strip. The long border strip should be 2-1/2x51-1/2" including seam allowances. Using tip of iron, carefully press seam open. Repeat to make a second long border strip.

2. Join long border strips to long edges of table runner center. Press seams toward border.

3. Sew black tone-on-tone 2-1/2x21-1/2" border strips to short edges of table runner center to complete table runner top. Press as before.
