Add Border

1. Fold quilt center in half crosswise and lengthwise; finger-press lightly to mark centers of edges. Fold each 4-3/4x60" multicolor stripe border strip in half crosswise; finger-press to mark centers.

TIP: When you need to find the center of a quilt edge and border strip, fold and press so they nest. To do this, fold the quilt center with the right side inside; press the center point. Fold each border strip with the wrong side inside; press the center point. Now the two center points will nest together perfectly.

2. Aligning midpoints, sew multicolor stripe border strips to opposite edges of quilt center, beginning and ending 1/4" from quilt center corners. In same manner, sew remaining border strips to remaining edges, mitering corners, to complete quilt top. Press all seams toward border.
