Reproduction Baskets Quilt

Surround basket blocks and a chain block with a scrappy, pieced border. These 1930s reproduction prints are from the Feedsack and Toybox II collections, both by Sara Morgan for Blue Hill Fabrics.

Materials

Inspired by Twist on Tradition from designer Avis Shirer of Joined at the Hip
Quilt Tester: Laura Boehnke

4—1/4-yard pieces assorted cream prints (blocks, setting and corner triangles)
9x22" piece (fat eighth) each of purple, pink, orange, and blue prints (basket blocks, outer border)
3/4 yard pink floral (chain block, setting and corner triangles, inner border, binding)
1/8 yard each of green, yellow, and aqua prints (outer border)
1-1/8 yards backing fabric
38" square batting

Finished quilt: 31" square
Finished blocks: 8" square

Quantities are for 44/45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics.
Measurements include 1/4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
