Easy as A, B, C Throw

Assemble Blocks

1. Referring to Block Assembly Diagrams, lay out two dark green floral 4" squares, two alphabet 4" squares, four multicolor stripe 2-1/2x4" rectangles, and one light floral green 2-1/2" square in three horizontal rows.

2. Sew together pieces in each row. Press seams toward stripe rectangles. Join rows to make a block center. Press seams in one direction. The block center should be 9-1/2" square including seam allowances.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make 13 block centers total.

4. Referring to Block A Assembly Diagram, sew a 1x9-1/2" C sashing strip to one edge of a block center. Add a 1x9-1/2" B sashing strip to opposite edge. Join 1x10-1/2" A sashing strips to remaining edges to complete an A block. Press all seams toward sashing. The A block should be 10-1/2" square including seam allowances.

5. Repeat Step 4 to make six A blocks total.

6. Referring to Block B Assembly Diagram, sew 1x9-1/2" B sashing strips to opposite edges of a block center. Add 1x10-1/2" A sashing strips to remaining edges to complete a B block. Press all seams toward sashing. The B block should be 10-1/2" square including seam allowances. Repeat to make a second B block.

7. Referring to Block C Assembly Diagram, sew 1x9-1/2" C sashing strips to opposite edges of a block center. Add 1x10-1/2" A sashing strips to remaining edges to complete a C block. Press all seams toward sashing. The C block should be 10-1/2" square including seam allowances.

8. Repeat Step 7 to make five C blocks total.
