Assemble Triangle-Squares

1. Use a pencil to draw a diagonal line on wrong side of each cream batik 2-7/8" square.

2. Place a marked cream batik square atop a blue batik 2-7/8" square. Sew 1/4" from each side of drawn line (Diagram 1). Cut pair apart on drawn line to make two triangle units. Press each triangle unit open, pressing seam away from cream batik, to make two blue triangle-squares. Each triangle-square should be 2-1/2" square including seam allowances.

3. Repeat Step 2 to make 276 blue triangle-squares total.

4. Using remaining marked cream batik squares and golden tan batik 2-7/8" squares, repeat Step 2 to make 20 golden tan triangle-squares.
