Assemble Blocks

1. Sew brown batik 1-1/2x9-1/2" strip to left-hand edge of gold/green triangle-square (Diagram 2). Add brown batik 1-1/2x10-1/2" strip to top edge of triangle-square. Press all seams away from triangle-square.

2. Sew green batik 1-1/2x10-1/2" strip to right-hand edge of gold/green triangle-square (Diagram 2). Add a green batik 1-1/2x11-1/2" strip to bottom edge of triangle-square. Press all seams away from triangle-square.

3. Referring to Diagram 2, add gold batik strips and moss green batik strips in clockwise order to make Block A. Always press seams away from triangle-square. The block should be 13-1/2" square including seam allowances.

4. Referring to Quilt Assembly Diagram, repeat steps 1–3 using a green/purple triangle-square and moss green, violet-blue, green, and purple batik strips to make Block B. Repeat to make a second B block.

5. Using a purple/blue triangle-square and violet-blue, blue, purple, and dark blue batik strips, repeat steps 1–3 to make Block C (Quilt Assembly Diagram). Repeat to make three C blocks total.

6. Using a blue/light green triangle-square and dark blue, lime green, blue, and moss green batik strips, repeat steps 1–3 to make Block D (Quilt Assembly Diagram). Repeat to make three D blocks total.

7. Using a light green/red triangle-square and moss green, rust, lime green, and red batik strips, repeat steps 1–3 to make Block E (Quilt Assembly Diagram). Repeat to make a second E block.

8. Using a red/gold triangle-square and red, gold, rust, and brown batik strips, repeat steps 1–3 to make Block F (Quilt Assembly Diagram).
