Cool Four-Patch Runner

The versatile Four-Patch is a basic block for both new and experienced quilters. Test the accuracy of your 1/4" seams on an easy table runner. This version features fabrics from the Ice collection of Tonga Batiks for Timeless Treasures.

Materials

Inspired by “Orchard Lane” from designer Jill Abeloe Mead

4—18x22" pieces (fat quarters) or 3/4 yard total assorted blue batiks (blocks, setting squares)
3—18x22" pieces (fat quarters) or 1/2 yard total assorted gray batiks (blocks, setting squares)
3—18x22" pieces (fat quarters) or 1/2 yard total assorted lavender batiks (blocks, setting squares)
18x22" piece (fat quarter) light blue batik
1/2 yard blue batik (binding)
1-3/8 yards backing fabric
23x71" batting

Finished table runner: 16-1/2x64-1/2"
Finished block: 8" square

Quantities are for 44/45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics. Measurements include 1/4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
