Wildflower Log Cabin
This combination of traditional Log Cabin in darker colors and rows of fanciful, lighter-colored flowers gives this quilt an almost contemporary feel. Avis, who designed “Wildflower Log Cabin,” admits this quilt is a bit more challenging than some of Joined at the Hip’s designs, because of the many pieces in the Log Cabin sections. The flowers use Avis and Tammy’s favored fused machine appliqué method, making them quick and easy. “And I think those bits of blue in the Log Cabin sections really add a lot,” says Avis. “It’s a fun piece.”
