Hearthside Memories

As the final project of Kim’s 2002 sampler series for American Patchwork & Quilting, “Hearthside Memories” combines one element from each of the previous quilts in the yearlong series. This quilt is one of Kim’s personal favorites and has special meaning. “I learned to quilt by working my way through the culminating project for the very first American Patchwork & Quilting sampler series,” Kim says. “And I ended up designing their final sampler series. It was like coming full circle. I couldn’t have planned that if I’d tried.”
