Cori and Myra were intrigued when they first discovered this traditional block, but knew they wanted to give it a bit more “oomph” than the original. The [Jinny Beyer] background fabric proved perfect—a neutral with a busy pattern helped hide the quilt’s many seams. The border was another design challenge: a complicated border would have competed visually with the center blocks; instead, the simple stripes provide definition without distraction.
