Assemble Four-Patch Units

1. Lay out two matching cream polka dot squares and two matching red solid, stripe, or print 6-1/2" squares in pairs (Diagram 2). Join squares in each pair; press seams in opposite directions. Join pairs to make a Four-Patch unit. Press seams in one direction. The Four-Patch unit should be 12-1/2" square including seam allowances.

2. Repeat Step 1 to make three Four-Patch units.
