Assemble the Blocks
Assemble Block A
1.Referring to Diagram 1 for placement, lay out the following solid white and assorted bright print and stripe pieces: one 8-1/2" square, one 6-1/2" square, two 3-1/2" squares, one 5-1/2x12-1/2" rectangle, one 2-1/2x8-1/2" rectangle, two 5-1/2x6-1/2" rectangles, one 2-1/2x6-1/2" rectangle, one 2-1/2x5-1/2" rectangle, and two 3-1/2x4-1/2" rectangles.
2. Sew together the pieces in sections; press. Then join the sections to make a Block A; press. Pieced Block A should measure 20-1/2x15-1/2", including the seam allowances.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make a total of nine of Block A.
Assemble Block B
1. Referring to Diagram 2, lay out the following solid white and assorted bright print and stripe pieces: one 10-1/2" square, two 3-1/2" squares, one 2-1/2x10-1/2" rectangle, two 3-1/2x7-1/2" rectangles, two 4-1/2x6-1/2" rectangles, and four 3-1/2x6-1/2" rectangles.
2. Sew together the pieces in sections; press. Then join the sections to make a Block B; press. Pieced Block B should measure 20-1/2x15-1/2", including the seam allowances.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make a total of nine of Block B.
