Cut Fabrics
Cut pieces in the following order.
For the top and bottom middle border, we used a train border print where the design was printed parallel to the selvages. If you use a similar print, fussy-cut the middle border strips lengthwise (parallel to the selvages).
From white print, cut:
8—4-1/4" squares, cutting each diagonally twice in an X for 32 small triangles total
31—3-7/8" squares
From light blue tone-on-tone, cut:
16—3-7/8" squares
From dark blue tone-on-tone, cut:
6—2-1/2x42" binding strips
9—2x42" strips for inner and outer borders
From scraps of dark blue tone-on-tone and the assorted prints, cut:
8—4-1/4" squares, cutting each diagonally twice in an X for 32 small triangles total (8 sets of 4 matching triangles)
16—3-7/8" squares, cutting each in half diagonally for 32 large triangles total (8 sets of 4 matching triangles)
15—3-7/8" squares
8—3-1/2" squares
