A sitting area provides shoppers and their companions a cozy, comfortable respite.
To coincide with its hospitality theme, the shop stocks a host of charming apron patterns.
Novelty and pastel fabrics, a vintage sewing machine, and stitched samples round out a display in the children’s area.
Because Sew Sweet Quilt Shop carries a large variety of patterns that call for one-yard cuts, the staff folds bundles of that size into triangles and features them in a large navy hutch.
Strips of assorted solids and a chevron machine-quilting design join together in a modern quilt. Megan Frock of Downtown Housewife designed On the Straight and Narrow by for Quilt Sampler® Fall/Winter 2013 magazine.
Machine-quilted double zigzag lines across the horizontal stripes enhances the modern, geometric look of On the Straight and Narrow. Shop owner Jessica Defibaugh added dense pebble and right-angle designs between the double zigzags and stipple-quilting in the block backgrounds to emphasize the pieced crosses.
