Climbing Rose Color Option

Reverse the placement of lights and darks to give this pattern a strikingly different look. Quilt tester Laura Boehnke used a cream batik instead of a black print and powder blue batik instead of a cream floral for the Irish Chain blocks. The various blues also make the Irish Chain blocks stand out rather than blend with the setting squares. Fabrics are from Laundry Basket Quilts Let It Snow Batiks Favorites collection for Moda Fabrics.

Contact A Stitch in Time to purchase a copy of the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Quilt Sampler magazine. Issues are also available at your local quilt shop, on newsstands, and online.
