Kinder Komforts: Amish Crib Quilts

What: Check out a collection of Amish crib quilts curated by quilting guru Bettina Havig.
Why: Crib quilts are somewhat rare today because they received a lot of use. These smaller versions of Amish quilts took less time to make and were not meant to be showpieces. Also, they reveal some experimentation on traditional Amish quilt patterns.
When: March 4–May 9
Where: New England Quilt Museum, 18 Shattuck St., Lowell, MA 01852
Admission: adults $7, seniors and students $5
For more info: 978/452-4207 ext. 15; nequiltmuseum.org
