Shades of Spring Reader Version
Juanita Schnabel of Brandon, South Dakota, used browns, tans, and other neutrals for a version of Shades of Spring that's just as striking as its colorful counterpart. Juanita's trick to creating an interesting neutral quilt is choosing fabrics-such as batiks-in several shades to give the color combination depth. She also paid attention to placement so the pieced star stands out.
