This delectable variation of “Lemon Bars” is made with 25 blocks (we chose the A unit) in a variety of prints from Calypso collection for Timeless Treasures. From Quilts and More Spring 2008

Want to turn up the heat on tradition? We used two collections of salsa-color fabrics from Maypole by April Cornell and Net of Jewels by Purl Patchwork for Moda to make sizzling, scrappy Nine-Patch blocks. Each block uses nine assorted stripe, plaid, and solid fabrics. The 18 Nine-Patch blocks alternate with 18 south-of-the-border solid squares to make a 54-1/2" square throw. If you’re running short of fabric for binding, sew together assorted solid 2-1/2"-wide strips to finish the quilt with scrappy style.
