Tiny Stitches Isn’t Really Tiny
Tiny Stitches Quilt Shop isn’t tiny at all—the shop fills 3,800 square feet and holds 7,000 fabric bolts.
Block of the Month Beauty
The Beautiful Baskets Throughout the Year Calendar Quilt by WillowBerry Lane is a block-of-the-month project offered at Tiny Stitches Quilt Shop.
Celebrate the Seasons
Tiny Stitches Quilt Shop owner Maetha Elliott loves to celebrate seasons and holidays. This vignette welcomes winter with appliquéd towels (left) and Straddling Snowboy (top) by The Wooden Bear and There’s No Man Like a Snowman by Joined at the Hip.
Fall for Color
Shop manager Charlotte McRanie and staffer Joyce Woodall designed Fall for Color for Quilt Sampler Fall/Winter 2010 magazine.
Terry Powers machine-quilted a meandering leaf motif across the quilt top.
Fall for Color Color Option
Geometric prints from the Red Essentials and Essentials IV collections by Studio E Fabrics make Fall for Color black, white, and red all over. To create frames around the blocks, quilt tester Laura Boehnke used a contrasting light print for the sashing strips instead of matching the block backgrounds. The result is a subtle windowpane effect rather than the floating blocks of the original quilt.
