Disney-Quality Displays

Brian came to quilting from working on VIP tours and guest relations for Disney. He has an undeniable talent for merchandising, and he wows both new and return customers with the stories his displays tell. “You want to spend time in here, thinking and looking and touching everything,” Jan says.

Wooly Favorites

A sweet kitchen setting is the home to Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe & Mercantile’s wool kits and pattern. Oregon designer and staff Debbie Busby, of Wooden Spool Designs, teaches wool appliqué classes and hand-dyes wool.

North Woods Visit

One display includes Pine Tree Cozy Quilt, a cuddly flannel quilt. “People don’t want to be frustrated by making decisions, so we give them the inspiration with our quilt samples,” Jan says.

Summer Sky

Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe staff member Terri Staats of Sweet Treasures designed Summer Sky for Quilt Sampler magazine.

12-Point Stars

Patriotic 12-point stars and magnificent machine quilting are the focal points of Summer Sky.

Summer Sky Color Option

Options for Summer Sky are limitless. Quilt tester Laura Boehnke used bold abstract prints from the Wise Tree collection by Art of Possibility Studio for FreeSpirit Fabric. “Carefully cut stripe fabrics to create straight star points,” Laura says. “The directional prints combined with the vibrant hues create lots of movement.”
