Charming Addition Color Option

Wall of Color

To make this graphic 44x42" wall hanging, quilt tester Laura Boehnke chose 14 solids (1⁄8 to 1⁄4 yard of each color) for the 61 plus signs, 15 half plus signs, and 15 single squares. A dark brown border (cut 2-1⁄2" wide) neatly contains the wide variety of lights, mediums, and darks. FABRICS are from the Kona Cotton Solids collection from Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

Blooming Block Wall Hanging

Quilt tester Laura Boehnke welcomes spring with her 52-1⁄2x62-1⁄2" version of Festive Flurries that features blooming flowers instead of snowflakes. Watercolor-inspired fabrics helped Laura create a painterly effect. Fabrics are from the Garden Medley collection by Susie Johnson for RJR Fabrics.

No two plus signs in this throw are the same! Dig into your stash--or swap 2-1⁄2"-wide strips with your friends--to create a quilt that’s positively “scraptacular.”

Jolly and Bright

Designer: Linda Lum DeBono

Add a punch of color to your holiday decor with a fusible appliqué quilt.

Jolly and Bright Color Option

Newborn Baby Wall Hanging

For her 30-1⁄2x37-1⁄2" version of Jolly and Bright, quilt tester Laura Boehnke turned the ornament appliqués upside down to create a row of baby rattles, transforming the quick-to-make wall hanging into a baby shower gift. Laura used the same dark blue thread to appliqué all shapes, making the construction even faster. Fabrics are from the Vintage Summer collection by Little Yellow Bicycle for Blend Fabrics.

Best in Show

Designer: Mary Elizabeth Kinch

An abundance of tiny pieces, an unconventional border, and stunning quilting add up to a blue-ribbon quilt inspired by an antique.

Best in Show Color Option

Hot and Cold Wall Hanging

Pick a mix of prints and batiks like quilt tester Laura Boehnke did with her 53"-square version of Best in Show. Fiery orange-and-fuchsia and serene green Pinwheels float in a sea of aqua batik setting pieces. Fabrics are from the Watercolor Parade collection and Sumatra batik collection, both from Blank Quilting.

Deck the Wall

Designer: Debbie Beaves

Decorate for the season with a festive, quick-to-make wall hanging or table runner. What makes it even easier? The featured ornaments are fussy-cut, not appliquéd! Fabrics are from the Haute Ho Ho collection for Maywood Studio.

Deck the Wall Color Option

Rose Bouquet Table Runner

To bring this quilt to the table, use a nondirectional print in the block centers. Quilt tester Laura Boehnke made her version of Deck the Wall a seasonless table runner with romantic cottage appeal. Fabrics are from the Friendship Tea collection by Sandy Lynam Clough for Red Rooster Fabrics.
