Making the Template

Lay template plastic over a printed pattern and trace the solid outside edges, dashed seam lines, and grain-line arrow onto the plastic using a permanent marker and ruler. The arrow on the pattern piece indicates the direction the fabric grain should run. Mark the template with its quilt name, letter, grain line, and any marked matching points.
