Squared Up Wall Hanging

Using the Celebration of Life collection by Currier and Ives for Quilting Treasures, this wall hanging showcases motifs from the 19th century in the fussy-cut block centers, while a large-scale center block is the focal point.

Materials
1/2 yard allover scenic print (quilt center)
5/8 yard tan tone-on-tone (border Nos. 1–3)
5/8 yard of panel with multiple printed scenes  (border No. 2) Note: If you’re fussy-cutting pieces as in the featured quilt, you may need additional fabric depending on the size and spacing of motifs on your particular fabric.
1/4 yard green print (border No. 2)
7/8 yard red floral (border No. 2)
1-1/8 yards brown print (border No. 4, binding)
3 yards backing fabric
52" square batting

Finished quilt: 45-1/2" square
Finished block: 9" square

Quantities are for 44/45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics.

Measurements include 1/4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
