Here's a two-block treat that's great for beginners. A mix of squares and rectangles, this geometric beauty proves that sometimes simple is best.

Materials

Inspired by “Dots Nice” quilt makers Mary Pepper and Kathleen Williams

3/4 yard total assorted light blue prints (blocks)
3/4 yard total assorted dark blue prints (blocks)
1 yard total assorted red prints (blocks)
1/2 yard dark blue tone-on-tone print (binding)
1-1/2 yards backing fabric
43×55" batting

Finished quilt: 36-1/2×48-1/2"
Finished block: 4" square

Quantities are for 44/45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics. Measurements include 1/4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
