Materials

Inspired by Fabric Fusion from designers Bill Kerr and Weeks Ringle of Fun Quilts/Modern Quilts Studio
Quilt tester: Laura Boehnke

1-1/3 yards total assorted flannel prints and plaids in green, brown, and gold (blocks)
1-1/4 yards solid brown (sashing, border, binding)
2-1/2 yards backing fabric
45x52" batting

Finished quilt: 36-1/2x44"
Finished block: 6-1/2x8"

Quantities are for 44/45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics.
Measurements include 1/4" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.

Tips on Sewing Flannel
Prewash flannel because it tends to shrink. Since flannel is a medium-weight fabric, use a larger needle, such as 90/14. Flannel also has a tendency to stretch, so pin more than you normally would or stitch with a walking foot.
