HEIDI KAISAND

Instructor: Working with Wool

Born and raised in Iowa, Heidi Kaisand has been creating and sharing quilts for most of her life. As a young girl, she was actively involved in 4-H where she created her first full-size quilt and found her love of speaking to people about her passion for quilting.

After graduating from Iowa State University, Heidi joined Meredith Corporation in the cookbook division where she wrote and edited several cookbooks, as well as children¹s craft titles and cross-stitch books. In
1992 she had the opportunity to help start American Patchwork & Quilting magazine. After 15 years of helping magazine readers stitch lots of quilt tops, Heidi now is the National Sales Manager for American Professional Quilting Systems, helping quilters complete those projects with long-arm quilting machines.
